A Remixed Version of "Arrested Development" S4 Is Out In Case the Original Confused You

Cause you don't need double talk.

Arrested Development's (AD) notorious fourth season has gotten a makeover with Netflix re-releasing the season in chronological order to appease the simpletons who complained it was too confusing. It's called Arrested Development Season 4 Remix: Fateful Consequences and you can watch it on Netflix right now.

Now, yes, there will be Season Four spoilers ahead if you haven't got around to watching it in the past five years.

The original Season Four featured a non-chronological order, with each episode centring on the happenings of individual characters, in the lead-up to a dramatic event at a 'Cinco de Cuatro' celebration: the death of Lucille Two.

At the end of the season, Buster was arrested for her murder and Gob Bluth finally took the reins of the Bluth company, but boy was it a journey to get there and the critical response suffered for it.

The remixed season sees us return to this same story arc, but now in chronological order, and with episodes now including stories from multiple characters.

AD series creator, Mitch Hurwitz, told EW that Season Four was a bit of an experiment, but he was happy to remix it back to chronological order.

"The goal was that by the end of the season, a unified story of cause and effect would emerge for the viewer—full of surprises about how the Bluths were responsible for most of the misery they had endured," Hurwitz explained.

"But in between season 4 and this upcoming season 5, I had time to take that Rashomon-type story and recut it... who am I kidding, I want this thing to syndicate eventually."

Netflix has since made the original release so hard to find that it would take a real Gene Parmesan-type to find it.

Thankfully, the AD team are here to help if you want to deal with the real mystery of the original.

The fifth season is due to be released sometime this year but no release date has been set as of yet.
