Ariana Grande Steps In For Whitney's Hologram To Duet With Christina On "The Voice" Finale

How do you solve a problem like a renegade hologram? You bring in Ariana Grande.

Last week, Christina Aguilera filmed a duet with a Whitney Houston hologram for the finale of The Voice U.S.

It was strange and unsettling, but not more so than any other hologram of a deceased singer we've seen.

Still, the estate of Whitney Houston declared that, after seeing the footage, the hologram was not yet “perfect” and canned the performance, barring it from being aired. (Briefly, it lived on the internet, and if you saw it, you were truly blessed.)

So, Aguilera instead teamed up with Ariana Grande for a duet of “Into You” and “Dangerous Woman” on the finale. It’s no 'Ghost of Houston' duet, but it’ll do.

(Do you think Ariana showed Xtina her impersonation, btw?)
