Anna Kendrick Wants To Be Robin To Ben Affleck’s Batman (Or Maybe Just Batman)

If Hollywood won’t let Anna Kendrick be Squirrel Girl, they can at least give her this.

While spruiking their new movie The Accountant, Anna Kendrick attempted to convince Ben Affleck to cast her as his plucky sidekick in upcoming flick The Batman.

But when Affleck suggests Robin might not even be in his next film, she starts canvassing for the role of Batman him/herself.

“It is 2016 and I don’t need this patriarchal bull****,” she tells her doubting, would-be director. “Do I not have the stamina? Do I not have the look, Mr. Trump?”

(Look, promotional junkets can be a mentally exhausting experience.)

It’s only after a beet-red Affleck reveals a dark secret - about his own aspirations to star in Pitch Perfect - that Kendrick backs off.
