All Seven Seasons of "New Girl" Are Coming to Netflix in October

Now here's some good news.

We're heading into the tail end of 2020, and it's safe to say we'll take all the positivity we can get after this high-key crazy year.

Well, it looks like Netflix has valiantly come to our rescue, because all seven seasons of New Girl are officially landing on the streaming service in Australia on Thursday 1 October.

If you have absolutely no clue what New Girl is all about, let's give you a quick rundown.

The show centres on Jess (Zooey Deschanel), a bubbly, off-beat teacher who catches her boyfriend with another woman. Newly homeless, she decides to move into a loft with three single guys she has never met before: Nick (Jake Johnson), Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Winston (Lamorne Morris). Okay, technically she moved in with Damon Wayans Jr.'s Coach before Winston came on the scene, but Wayans Jr. had to go back to his Happy Endings home for a little while. He eventually came back!

Jess' best friend Cece (Hannah Simone) is also a part of the series.

The seventh and final season of New Girl wrapped up in the United States in May 2018, so you'll be able to watch the show in its entirety.

At the moment, Australian viewers can stream the series on Amazon Prime Video or SBS On Demand.

An SBS representative confirmed that all seven seasons of New Girl on SBS On Demand will expire on 30 September.

We've also reached out to Amazon Prime Video to confirm whether the show will still be available on the platform, so we'll keep you updated.

Fans of the series have taken to social media to express their excitement over the news.

If you need further convincing, New Girl is rated 95 per cent on the Rotten Tomatoes Tomatometer, which is pretty damn excellent.

So, set yourself a calendar invite for 1 October and prepare to binge.
