'G'Day' From The Other Side: Adele Is Coming To Australia In 2017

If you needed assurance that 2017 might at least be a touch better than the ongoing dumpster fire that is 2016, you need only look to Adele’s Twitter account.

The “Hello” songstress (and hilarious prankster) has announced an Australian tour with an adorable handwritten note that opens with, “G’day, it’s me…”

Her 2017 jaunt Down Under will mark Adele’s first time in Australia, which we’d call inexcusable if it wasn’t for the fact that she’s been pretty busy breaking music records, making a baby, winning an Oscar, and so on. She gets a pass. She always gets a pass.

She’ll kick off proceedings in Perth on February 28, followed by Brisbane on March 4, Sydney on March 10, Adelaide on March 13 and Melbourne on March 18.

We don’t want to sound greedy, but there are nice gaps in between each of those gigs, in case she’s so inclined to add additional shows…

With the announcement of this tour, we’re now convinced Adele was the global superstar seeking accommodation that we wrote about last month. Sure, sure, we were pretty certain it was Justin Bieber at the time (even though he was looking for Adelaide digs without an Adelaide tour stop). But the request for additional accommodation for “one child” hinted heavily at Adele.

And if Adele is indeed the artist seeking luxury lodging in Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne, we can take solace in the fact that she’s after approximately “five nights per location”.

Would it be too much to ask for five shows a city?
