New Excuse Alert: A Waiter Is Fired for Being Rude, Explains He's Just French

In his defence, he's not rude, he's just French.
A waiter in Canada has filed a complaint with a tribunal after being sacked for being "rude". His excuse? Je suis Français.
According to the BBC, Guillaume Rey took his beef to British Columbia's Human Rights Tribunal to claim that he was discriminated against because of his French persuasion.

He explained that the hospitality industry in France "tends to be more direct and expressive" and that's where he trained to be a professional waiter.
His former employer maintains that he was fired because he had an "aggressive tone and nature" and this was in violation of workplace policy.
Twitter had a thing or two to say about this.
“I’m not rude, I’m just French” is the most French waiter thing to say ever https://t.co/ZioWO7z63J

Today's best news heading: "A waiter who was fired for aggressive and disrespectful behaviour has claimed he’s not actually rude - he’s just French."
