A Pro Gamer Broke Up With His Model Girlfriend to Really Focus on "Call of Duty"

Romance is a strange and mysterious fig, unless you’re a pro gamer.

Because when you’re a pro gamer, romance cannot compete with the clarion call of… Call of Duty.

That’s why Douglas Martin aka FaZe Censor broke up with his weather-woman girlfriend of three years, Yanet García.

In a YouTube admission, Martin explained why parted ways with his "super famous on social media" partner.

"For now, what I want in my life, at this very moment, is to compete in Call of Duty, because I love it so much," he said, revealing the hours he had to devote to the game, rather than García.

"I’m gonna do whatever it takes to be a champion."

Prior to Yanet, Martin says he had only ever had two girlfriends, and both were in middle school.

Martin is very generous to García in the clip, saying, "she deserves the best; she’s beautiful, she’s smart, she’s very loyal; she was an awesome, awesome girlfriend." Buuut he also made a 10-minute video that attempts to make clear he left her.

Though they were living together in New York City, she took a job opportunity in Mexico City earlier this year, while he decided to remain and keep playing Call of Duty.

Er, kinda sounds like she left you first, bro.

Anyway, despite some initial "heartbroken" tweets, we think Yanet is gonna be just fine.
