The Best Spot to Drop in "Call of Duty: Warzone" is the Farmland

Do not @ me.
Just like Fortnite, the new battle royale add-on for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, titled Warzone, begins with players jumping onto the map from a plane flying overhead.
With so many potential drop spots to choose from in Verdansk, it’s hard to know where exactly you should begin your adventure. The choice is made more difficult by the fact Verdansk is encircled by a tightening cloud of poison gas, which closes-in from different directions each time you play.
There’s never gonna be one perfect place to start.

Except, there is. I’m here to make the choice easy for you. It’s the Farmland. Always the Farmland.

This place has everything. Stop in early and raid the double-storey homesteads (with limited entry points, which is ideal to avoid ambushes) to load up on armour plates, machine guns, rifles and straight-up cash (often in bundles of $2,000).

There’s even a stable with perfect snipe spots, and access to plenty of getaway vehicles.

Plus, you just cannot fault the view.

I’m not saying it’s completely devoid of other players, or you won’t face any early attacks. The Farmland is pretty close to the Prison, which might be the most popular/stupidest drop point in the whole game (in my experience it’s yet to yield any prizes worth the instant melee, so unless you’re a pro who just wants bodies to pick off, stay away). You’ll need to be wary of Prison hotheads passing through the Farmland as the circle closes, but like I said: the Farmland is the best place to drop, not the best place to hang out forever while you chew on a stalk of grain.

The Quarry and the Dam are close runners up, but they truly put you on the outside looking in, and they’re a bit too far from other locations of value. The Farmland is still near enough to the Stadium, which is another treasure trove (but a bit more populated and open to attack, so not a recommended arrival point), and from there, you can hit the Hospital or the TV Station, arguably the funnest spots, where you can kill plenty of time and hide out as the clock runs down (depending on where the final circle winds up, obviously).

You may say: bah! The Farmland is for country mice, and a city rat like you wants to drop smack dab in the middle of the action and begin guns blazing. Well, enjoy going immediately to the Gulag. You really don’t want to land in the center of the map unless you’re happy to be in the middle of the chaos from go to woah, armed with only a pistol and your fists. Finding an off-center arrival point (preferably close to the boundaries of the map) allows you to load up with as little interruption as possible before going to war.
But if you really don’t want to start in the Farmland, my advice is to basically land as far from the 'travel line' of the plane as much as possible.
Otherwise, do as the Presidents of the United States of America once sang: move into the country (and, time permitting, eat a lot of peaches).
Besides, did I mention? Outhouses, everywhere.

You can't actually drop a deuce in Warzone, but if you could, the Farmland is where you'd want to do it.
Call of Duty: Warzone is now available to download for free on PS4, Xbox and PC.
