1D Star, Liam, Reveals His Pain at Being in One of the Most Famous Boy Bands

The One Direction star doesn't sound like he's missing boy band life.
Former 1D star, Liam Payne, has admitted to the Daily Star that his time in the naughties' most famous boy band wasn't so peachy after all (le shock).

Payne told the Daily Star about his feels while being in the band, explaining that he "hated his life". He recalled that his lowest point was when he was going to grab a burger with his parents and a cameraman accidentally pushed over his mother.
"I cried my eyes out," Liam said. "I thought, 'I can't do this' and I really hated my life."
He's not the first member of the boy band to speak about the experience not being so crash hot.
Zayn Malik complained that the band was controlled so tightly, they would have to go straight from stadium shows to recording new music. He also suffered from crippling anxiety which resulted in him having to cancel a solo tour.
Liam later went on to explain that he found the fan hysteria surrounding the boy band hard to deal with, because it meant he couldn't go anywhere without being swamped.
"I can remember when there were 10,000 people outside our hotel. We couldn't go anywhere," he said. "It was just gig to hotel, gig to hotel. And you couldn't sleep, because they’d still be outside."
But luckily, Liam said he can finally concentrate now. "People were speaking to me about mental health in music the other day, and that's a big issue. Sometimes you just need some sun or a walk," he said.
Despite the crazed fandom subsiding quite a bit since their split, Payne is still killing it on the charts so don't expect him to disappear completely anytime soon.
