Young Unknown Barack Obama To Sing On Coldplay’s Next Album

Barack Obama – yes, the one you’re thinking of – will be heard on Coldplay’s next album, alongside previously announced guests Gwyneth Paltrow and Blue Ivy Carter.

(Is it just us, or is the list of ‘Featured’ artists starting to sound like Stefon rattling off attendees at New York’s hottest club?)

Coldplay’s seventh long-player A Head Full Of Dreams, due out on December 4, will include an excerpt of the American President singing “Amazing Grace”, as performed during the eulogy of Charleston church shooting victim Reverend Clementa C. Pinckney.

Speaking to Billboard, Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin confirmed that the White House had granted them permission to include the performance on the album.

It may sound unlikely, but consider this: the President of the United States has two Grammys (admittedly, both for Spoken Word Albums). That’s two more Grammys than Nicki Minaj has.

Here’s President Obama’s spine-tingling rendition of “Amazing Grace”.

Now, here’s President Obama singing The Weeknd's "Can't Feel My Face”, kind-of.
