Yes, You Can Use a Cat as a Weapon in "Spider-Man: Miles Morales" on PS5

Me-ow.

There’s so much we’ve wanted to know about the PS5’s upcoming Spider-Man: Miles Morales release.

For instance, is it a full game or a DLC? How big will the file be? And can you use a bodega cat as a weapon?

Well, maybe you haven't been pondering that last question, but dammit, the Insomniac Games team have answered it nonetheless: yes, yes, you can.

In a newly released clip ahead of the game's release, there is apparently a side-quest in which you can rescue a bodega cat called "Spider-Man" from hijackers (why the cat was nabbed goes unexplained).

Afterwards, the cat gets its very own mask and can join Miles on an adventure from his backpack, at which point he can be deployed as a weapon during fights.

You know, now that we think about it, this is really the only thing we actually needed to learn about the game prior to release. It doesn't matter how big it is. Five stars.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales arrives the same day as the PS5 launches in Australia: 12 November.
