This School Principal Just Pulled an Iconic April Fools Prank on her Students

These Year 11 students could only look on in shocked horror 🤣
As far as April Fools jokes go, some can be memorable for all the right reasons and some can just fall flat.
In New South Wales, this principal managed to pull one of the best April Fool’s pranks we’ve seen in a while.
With the help of the NSW Department of Education’s social media team, Kylie Woods the principal at Wollongong High School of Performing Arts gathered her Year 11 students together to play a little prank.
After setting up some hidden cameras in the school auditorium, Ms Woods got on stage to speak to the students.
“A mandatory Year 13 has been added to your educational pathway and therefore you will no longer be graduating in 2026,” she told the students with a serious tone.
“You will now be graduating in 2027.”
After letting the students stew on it for a bit longer, she eventually admitted it was an April Fool’s joke.
“Wollongong High School of Performing Arts this year was selected to be a part of the 2025 April Fools’ Day joke,” she said.
After the students picked up their jaws off the ground when they realised this was all a prank, they could all breathe a sigh of relief.
Look we wouldn’t want to have to do an extra year of school either, but we have to admit this was a hilarious April Fool’s prank 👏
