While Trump Feuds With the NFL, A Squirrel Makes Its First College Football Touchdown

The NFL is in turmoil—a presidential feud; a two-pronged boycott; flagging ratings—but college football is going from strength to strength in America.
For that, you can thank the Touchdown Squirrel.
On Saturday, an ambitious squirrel dashed down the pitch right in the middle of Kent State University’s game against the University of Louisville.
The crowd, immediately identifying a new American hero, cheered the rodent on, with the commentators even celebrating the squirrel's ‘touchdown’ in the end zone.

Meanwhile, U.S. president Donald Trump sparked up a new feud with the NFL over the weekend, encouraging a counter-boycott against the league and specifically teams whose players kneel during the National Anthem.
Only problem is, the NFL is already facing a boycott from fans of Colin Kaepernick, the quarterback who was blackballed by the league after he pioneered ‘taking a knee’ during the anthem in 2016.
Kap initially started ‘taking a knee’ as a form of protest against police brutality towards young black men.
However, since Trump spoke out against this expression of free speech, more and more players, coaches and team owners have begun taking a knee in solidarity with Kap and their personal freedoms.
The question is, will Touchdown Squirrel join them?
You know the right thing to do, Touchdown Squirrel.
