We Chatted With Taylor John Smith, Star of "Where The Crawdads Sing"

The Book Club favourite is finally hitting the big screen.

When I tell you Where The Crawdads Sing has something for everyone, I'm not exaggerating. 

I know that's something people say all the time, but with a storyline that covers everything from coming of age to love and a thrilling murder, you should be running out the door to catch this film in cinemas. 

Adapted from Delia Owen's New York Times bestselling novel, Where The Crawdads Sing tells the tale of Kya (played by Daisy Edgar-Jones), an abandoned girl who raised herself in the dangerous swamplands of North Carolina.

Kya, who's known as the 'Marsh Girl', opens up to two young men in town—Tate Walker (played by Taylor John Smith) and Chase Andrews (played by Harris Dickinson). But when one of them is found dead, she becomes the main suspect and the secrets of the marsh unravel.

With captivating cinematography, scenes perfectly shot in New Orleans and an enchanting soundtrack (thanks to Taylor Swift's contribution of 'Carolina'), I was hooked from beginning to end. 

It's hitting Aussie theatres on 21 July and if you're already reaching for the popcorn, you're going to love our chat with one of the stars, Taylor John Smith, who takes on the role of Tate.
