“Do You Have Any Questions for Us?”—Here’s What to Ask at the End of An Interview (+ Free Printable)

*Mind goes blank* 😳
So, you’ve done the hard yards. You’ve researched the trickiest questions that’ll catch you off guard in an interview and prepared your responses.

But people often forget that they have to pose a question or two as well. And going blank won’t make a good impression.
Employers will often prompt you to ask them questions at the end of an interview not just because they feel like it, or to be nice, but because it showcases your critical thinking and how much you were listening.

You might find that you naturally have a lot of questions in mind by the end of your interview. On the other hand, you might have been so caught up in your nerves that you’re ready to leave that Zoom call ASAP and crawl straight into bed.
To help you out, we’ve made a list of some A+ questions you can ask that’ll make employers take you seriously. But more importantly, they’ll give you the insight you need to decide whether or not to take the job!
“Could you please expand on (X)?”
There will likely be something the employer mentioned in the interview that was skimmed past without clarification.

Asking the employer to clarify will show that you’re interested, engaged and already thinking ahead to working at the company.
On your end, you can clear any confusion.
“What do you enjoy most about working here?”
Asking this will usually get a smile out of the interviewer(s) and give them a chance to do most of the talking while you sit and listen.

It shows you have the foresight to gauge if the job is for you or not.
“What kind of supervision will I receive in this role?”
Especially if this is your first big job position, it’s really important to find out how much you’ll be left to your own devices.
By asking this, you can also signal to the employer that you’re prepared to learn new things and receive mentorship from someone in a senior position.
