Watch An 82-Year-Old Metalhead Achieve His Lifelong Dream With Hard Rockers Drowning Pool

Dreams can come true, Gabrielle once sang, though 82-year-old Navy veteran John Hetlinger probably isn’t familiar with that particular tune.

Hetlinger’s tastes are more metallic, as he demonstrated on America’s Got Talent this season, where he performed Drowning Pool’s heavy “Bodies” for an audition.

Though he didn’t make it through to the next round, Drowning Pool guitarist C.J. Pierce saw him in action and invited Hetlinger to perform the song with them at Chicago’s Open Air festival.
