Vince Vaughn Has Confirmed a “Wedding Crashers” Sequel Is in the Works

Stage five clinger alert!

If you can't quite remember what happened in Wedding Crashers, we can hardly blame you. The film starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson was released 15 years ago, so it's definitely been a while.

Well, it looks like you may want to rewatch the 2005 romantic comedy, because Vaughn has confirmed that a sequel could be on the way.

For those who need a quick recap, Wedding Crashers follows Jeremy (Vaughn) and John (Wilson), a couple of divorced mediators who spend their free time, uh, crashing wedding receptions. The best friends use it as an opportunity to drink for free and score with love-stricken single women.

While crashing a high-profile wedding, their game hits a bump in the road when John meets bridesmaid Claire (Rachel McAdams).

The flick also stars Sacha Baron Cohen's wife Isla Fisher, Christopher Walken, Jane Seymour, Will Ferrell and Bradley Cooper.

Anyone who has seen the movie will know that the best part is Fisher delivering this iconic line...

Anyway, Vaughn has now revealed that he, Wilson and the film's director David Dobkin have started "seriously" discussing a sequel.

"Owen and I and the director of Crashers have been talking for the first time seriously [about] a sequel to that movie," he told Entertainment Weekly.

"So there has been an idea that is pretty good. So we are talking about that in the early stages."

Back in June, Ferrell and McAdams also suggested that a script was already being worked on.

"Wedding Crashers 2, yeah. I think we can just say it's being written," Ferrell told E! News.

"How about if it's just the lawyers representing everyone in divorce court? And just make it like a legal courtroom drama, not funny at all."

Fans of the film have taken to social media to express their excitement over the potential sequel.

We just hope Ferrell gets to shout about meatloaf again.
