It’s Happened: Twitter Has Suspended Martin Shkreli Because Of Alleged Harassment

Martin Shkreli has officially been suspended from Twitter following allegations of continually harassing journalist Lauren Duca.

It all blew up after Duca tweeted a screenshot showing a direct message she’d received from the pharmaceutical executive, Shkreli.

From her zany (and hilarious) reply, it seems pretty clear Duca didn’t want Shkreli sliding into her DM’s.

He changed his Twitter bio to read that he has “a small crush on @laurenduca” and later tweeted that he had purchased the domain name “marrymelauren.com”.

It doesn’t stop there either; he went on to change the banner image of his profile to be a collage of Duca’s photos.

(Anyone else reminded of this scene from the Simpsons?)

Shkreli is most well-known for overpricing an essential drug for HIV patients after acquiring the rights to it; that’s why folks on the internet call him the big “pharma bro”.

Shkreli had his account suspended and was super unapologetic about his actions. Speaking to Gizmodo, he said he would’ve stopped the harassment had Duca simply asked.

Seems that for some people, hearing someone threaten to eat their own organs rather than hanging out isn’t a clear enough indication that they don’t like your advances.
