Twinsies: Ariana Grande And Demi Lovato Are Both Being Sued For Plagiarism

Copyright lawsuits are so hot right now.
Both Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato have found themselves on the wrong side of such suits today, putting them in the company of Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Led Zeppelin and Robin Thicke.
According to TMZ, Grande has been sued for 2014 single “One Last Time”, which songwriter Alex Greggs claims nicked the hook and some lyrics from Skye Steven’s “Takes All Night”.
Greggs owns the copyright to Steven’s tune and is seeking a portion of the profits from Grande’s hit.
Compare the two below.
Also, to complicate matters further, Grande's video for "One Last Time" was accused of ripping off SAFIA's vid for "You Are The One" last year, but no lawsuit was ever raised.
Lovato’s suit is slightly higher in profile, given that Sleigh Bells (kind of a big deal) is behind the complaint.
.@ddlovato Demi Lovato flattered you guys sampled Infinity Guitars & Riot Rhythm for "Stars" but we were not contacted. Gotta clear those.

Alexis Krauss and Derek Miller, of Sleigh Bells, have alleged that Lovato’s “Stars” (a bonus track on her album Confident) cribs from their 2010 song “Infinity Guitars”.
The Hollywood Reporter says their suit, filed on Monday in California, references the similarity of Lovato's “hand claps and bass drum”. They also recognise familiar “signal decay and other sonic signatures" in "Stars", and suggest they "transcend the realm of coincidence”.
But we’ll let you decide that for yourself.
