Elevating Your Skills with Today at Apple: Samuel Suresh Shows You How

Study smarter and give your notes a new lewk.

This is a sponsored post.

Think about when you’re in class – you’re learning a new concept, scribbling frantically to keep up with your teacher speeding through a slideshow.

Fast forward a few weeks and you have a quiz coming up on this new topic.

You go to look at your notes and… it’s a mess – nothing makes sense.

Don’t panic – through Today at Apple’s current ‘Study Smarter with Apple’ series, you can enhance your skills in free hands-on sessions.

But what is Today at Apple? Throughout the year, Today at Apple teaches you awesome skills from effective note-taking, to creating great presentations (and more!) with your iPad and Mac - perfect for giving you that extra edge at uni. You can check out the list of upcoming sessions here.

To give you a little taste of what to expect, a group of Student Edge members recently got a chance to attend a Today at Apple session run by uni student, YouTuber and expert-notetaker, Samuel Suresh.

Samuel shared his favourite note-taking skills and tricks, taking students through different tools he uses to create some pretty spectacular notes to help him learn. Check out the video below and watch him work his magic.

He explained the importance of creating notes tailored to you, and provided tips such as:

  • teach yourself in the same way you would teach someone else.
  • combine your notes with relevant diagrams and images that make sense to you.
  • when visualising your notes, try avoiding a linear layout - get creative and work your way around the screen.

Students then put these skills into action to create their own notebook, and were encouraged to let their imagination run wild.

If you're keen to jump in and learn how to take your uni work to the next level with Apple, check out their Study Smarter sessions here.
