Five Games You Should Play First via the Cloud

We played some of our fave games to test the GeForce NOW Powered by CloudGG experience.
As the resident gamer of Student Edge, it’s fair to say that I was excited when we got the opportunity to test out the capabilities of cloud gaming with GeForce NOW Powered by CloudGG.
If you’re thinking of getting a gaming PC, you’ll probably know already that it’s a pretty big investment.

Just knowing there’s an affordable option out there that gives you the ability to jump into the latest games with your mates without forking out thousands is game-changing.
We tested out a couple of titles from my games library on a bunch of devices, and went through the catalogue of over 1800 games GeForce NOW Powered by CloudGG has to offer – here’s the games we reckon you should play first!
Apex Legends.
I firstly wanted to test an online multiplayer game, so I used my work laptop with an external mouse and keyboard to run one of my personal fave battle royales – Apex Legends.
This is a free-to-play title, just like Fortnite - another game you can play with GeForce NOW -so heck yes to saving some money when you want hours of fun.

After launching GeForce NOW in the browser, I linked up my EA account and was ready to jump into the game.
One of the beauties of cloud gaming is not having to worry about waiting for a game to download or waiting for the latest update to install.
Apex launched seamlessly, and I experienced very little latency issues which meant I was jumping into fights with no dramas.
Rest assured if you are jumping into any fast-paced online games like Apex Legends or Fortnite, you’ll have a great time.
Baldur’s Gate 3.
Of course, I had to get in on one of this year’s biggest games to test how it performed on the cloud.
Apart from having a fantastic story, one of the things I loved most about the game was how good it looked – so how did it perform?
I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect, and I was quite impressed by how great the graphics were considering the game was being streamed.
The quality looked fantastic, and load times were pretty decent for a huge game like this that’s typically demanding in power.
Now that I know I can easily play this game at work?... Don’t tell anyone 🤫
Cult of the Lamb.
If you’ve been sleeping on this Aussie indie game, this is a must-play!
I downloaded the GeForce NOW app on my phone and connected my Steam library to play this cute roguelike game.

What I enjoyed most about streaming Cult of the Lamb was the controller compatibility.
This is my preferred way to play the game, and once I connected my Xbox controller to my phone I was ready to go! Super easy.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach.
Whether you’ve been a long-time fan, jumped on the hype from the movie, or just want to relive the classic memes – Five Night’s at Freddy’s: Security Breach is another great title you can play through GeForce NOW via Steam or the Epic Games Store.

Play as Gregory – a young boy who’s been trapped inside Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex and needs to survive the night with the help of Freddy himself.
If you want to relieve the animatronic madness of FNAF on a long bus ride (or under your covers), now you can – thanks to cloud gaming.
Raft.
An oldie but a goodie, Raft is a great open-world survival game to play with your mates through GeForce NOW via Steam.
You start the game stranded in the ocean with nothing but a few planks of wood to keep you afloat. As stray trash and materials float your way, you craft them together to help you survive and discover locations and mysteries hidden in the world.

Just watch out for those blood-thirsty sharks 👀
Teamwork makes the dream work when it comes to survival, so this is a great title to sink into over the summer holidays with your mates.
Another benefit of cloud gaming? You can have a big gaming sesh from the comfort of your own device while at a friend’s place!
