Tim The "Snag Fan" Used A Drone To Get A Sausage Sanga From Bunnings

One Australian guy has gone to extraordinary lengths (and heights) to get his hands on a Bunnings sausage sandwich: he had it delivered, drone-style.

It's pretty much genius and an entirely revolutionary way of getting food sent to you. Gone are the days of being devastated your fave food outlet doesn't do delivery.

One brave fellow thought to himself, "challenge accepted".

Channel 7 interviewed a man (identified as "Tim, snag fan"), who used a drone to pick up a sausage sandwich from a Bunnings.

When asked why he did it, he replied, "One of my friends came up with an idea: 'Wouldn't it be great if you could pick up a beer?' Then it escalated from that and it became a Bunnings snag."

"We spoke to the people at the sausage sizzle, they said, 'Yeah you can film us,'" he added.

Who wouldn't want to be involved in an idea born of sheer brilliance and innovation?

"One of them said, 'What a time to be alive,' another one said, 'This guy's a hero,'" he explained.

The method was crucial: Write a note, slip some money into a zip-lock bag and secure it to the drone.

Only thing is, he's facing a $AU9,000 fine for flying a drone out of sight and within 30 metres of people in a populous area. (Just a slight buzzkill.)
