This Uni Now Offers a Three-Day Week & Where Do We Sign Up?

Three days on, two days OFF 🥳
Have you ever wanted to study part-time without actually studying part-time? Still want to do your degree full-time without going to uni five days a week so it’s easier to work around work or other life commitments?
Well now you can.
Torrens University Australia are offering students a three-day week so they can fit classes around their work and life schedule.
That’s two out of five weekdays you could potentially be getting a sleep-in 💤
How does the three-day week look like?

Torrens Uni have campuses in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Blue Mountains, Auckland and China. They are making a three-day timetable work by dividing different majors and subjects on different days.
In-person days are divided across faculties as such:
- Business & Hospitality: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
- Design & Creative Technologies: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
- Health & Education: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday
Planning out your year.
Torrens is also bringing out a tool to help students plan their entire year. The Annual Subject Planner will showcase students an overview of different subjects being offered across each trimester so they can plan their course load ahead of the entire year.
It also means students will be able to plan around any work they might have for the year.
The positive is if you were looking for a part-time job you could let them know in advance what days you’ll be available to work from the get-go.
It also means the other students studying the same thing as you will be on campus at the same time so you can find some mates and familiar faces in classes.

What if you’re studying a double degree?
It could get a bit tricky if you are studying a double degree.
We asked someone at Torrens what this could look like and a spokesperson told us “students doing these double degrees [postgraduate double degrees such as a Master of Business or Master of Public Health], will need to complete the subjects within one discipline (clustered around three days for the whole year) and then enrol in the subjects within the second discipline.”
They also told us the three-day clusters are offered to both studying on campus and online.
