Thomas Cocquerel Zoomed Us to Chat "Escape Room: Tournament of Champions"

We found out how he went in an actual escape room.

If you love nothing more than getting lost in a psychological thriller, you're going to want to see Escape Room: Tournament of Champions.

Directed by Adam Robitel, the high-stakes flick is a a sequel to 2019's Escape Room and follows Zoey (Taylor Russell) and Ben (Logan Miller) as they attempt to bring the evil Minos Escape Rooms Corporation to justice.

However, things get pretty deadly when a bunch of survivors of the previous escape rooms—Zoey and Ben included—find themselves trapped in a new and increasingly elaborate game.

One of those survivors is Nathan, a priest haunted by survivor's guilt. When Minos tested whether faith would help clergy contestants survive, Nathan was the only one who managed to escape successfully.

The character is portrayed by Aussie actor Thomas Cocquerel, who brings Nathan's complex internal struggle to life.

We caught up with Cocquerel to find out what working alongside Russell and Miller was like, what advice he has for young actors, and whether he's been to an actual escape room (hint: he has).

Find out how he went by checking out the video below!

Escape Room: Tournament of Champions is in Australian cinemas now. It is rated M for mature themes and coarse language.
