This Is What It Looks Like When 9,000 "Harry Potter" Fans Take Over a 1,000-Person Town

A Canadian town with a population just over 1,000 people has welcomed more than 9,000 Harry Potter fans, in what might have otherwise been seen as an invasion if it wasn’t all so delightful.

Blyth, Ontario held its second annual Festival of Wizardry over the weekend, turning itself into a living, breathing homage to J.K. Rowling’s imagined universe.

The fest included quidditch matches, Potter-themed food, magic lessons and even a concert by “wizard rock” band The Lovegoods.

Unfortunately, Day 2 of the festival was cancelled due to bad weather, but visitors still managed to get plenty of wizardry in on Day 1. Gaze at the festival snaps below and wail in jealous despair:
