Don't stress - you've got this.
This article is presented in partnership with RMIT.
When you walk out from your final VCE exam, you’ll likely feel two things in close succession.
Firstly, a wave of intense relief. All those hours spent studying, writing out notes and sleeping at wack hours of the night: all over.

Then you might feel the nail-biting anticipation set in. Did you perform well enough? Are you going to get the ATAR you wanted?

This is totally normal to feel, and you’re not alone. But we’ve got some suggestions for things to remember during the waiting period—because believe it or not, this is a truly exciting time of your life.
There's more than your uni course to get excited about.
Whether you get into the university course you want or not, there’s more to look forward to when you step on campus.
Instead of psyching yourself up about a decimal score, think about the social clubs you’ll be able to join, the people you’ll meet, and the interest broadening units you can take.

On top of amazing hang-out spots on campus, RMIT has a thriving social club scene that you can check out here.
Your ATAR will open doors, no matter what.
The fact that you’ve completed VCE alone allows you to explore different pathways into the course you dream of.

You can preference pathway packages at RMIT and complete vocational studies first to secure your place. You can learn more about how that works here.
There's pathways into uni for unscored VCE students, too. You can move through different levels of study to reach the qualification you're aiming for!
There’s a way to study architecture, business, engineering, or whatever area you’re most passionate about, regardless of hitting the ATAR you planned to.
Make the most of your summer.
You’ve grinded and hustled through Year 11 and 12—now it’s time to chillax and do all the things you were dreaming of during those intensive study sessions.

Hit the beach, spend time with friends, go on a holiday or spend time with yourself. Or, you could start setting out your goals for the next few years—whether that’s researching your uni degree or thinking about going on exchange.
If you’re still feeling stressed or apprehensive about your results, RMIT has a live chat and hotline regarding your uni preferences and other queries.
