The Simpsons Are Voting For Hillary, If Their Anti-Trump Ad Is Anything To Go By

Marge Simpson has joined the chorus of voices opposing Donald Trump. We await his damning rebuke via Twitter.

In a new video - released just for funsies, apparently - the team behind The Simpsons have made public their support for Hillary Clinton in the coming U.S. election.

The video shows Marge interrupting Homer’s amorous advances to watch an anti-Trump television ad, in which the Republican presidential nominee ignores a call from the Situation Room so he can pen a Tweet. (Beside him sits a book of great speeches by “A. Hitler”.)

After, when Homer indicates he might vote for Trump, Marge questions if she can ever be with him again. “And that’s how I became a Democrat,” he concludes.

So, yep, it’s all pretty funny, but the ominous tone that closes the clip suggests the Simpsons camp is actually getting pretty worried about a Trump presidency.

However, if Trump’s current controversies – including a losing argument with the parents of a slain Muslim American soldier and genuine confusion over Russia’s presence in Ukraine – continue apace, they may not have to worry much longer.

Then again, The Simpsons did predict a Trump presidency in a previous episode. Maybe they're actually to blame for willing it into existence...
