“The Rise of Skywalker” Premiered Overnight and the Reactions Are in

It looks like we’re in for one big lightsaber adventure.

If you’ve been sensing a disturbance in the force this morning, that is because the upcoming trilogy-ender Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premiered in Los Angeles overnight. While no full reviews of the film have been posted yet, early viewers have taken to social media to share their initial thoughts on the flick.

That means we’re about to receive many different opinions, both good and bad.

However, we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief. Based on early reactions, it seems like director J.J. Abrams has done enough to satisfy OG fans, with some critics even claiming it’s the best one yet.

Others were simply blown away.

Alas, not everyone was pleased with how The Rise of Skywalker wrapped up the saga, with some claiming there are elements of the movie that simply don’t work.

With all this information rolling in, there are bound to be spoilers. Some Twitter users have been encouraging fans to stay off social media, until they’ve seen the movie themselves. Unless, of course, you enjoy a cheeky spoiler or two.

Despite mixed reactions to the project, it looks like the cast had a great time at the global premiere, with Stranger Things actor Gaten Matarazzo even managing to receive a hug from John Boyega.

The touching moment might even be cuter than Baby Yoda.

Sadly, it appears that Oscar Isaac didn’t take Boyega up on his offer to accompany him to the premiere. Instead, Isaac was photographed on the carpet with his wife, Elvira Lind.

Fortunately, Boyega seemed to be having a great time on his own.
