The Garlic Bread Drought Is Over; Domino’s Confirms They Have Re-Upped Everyone’s Fave Loaf

Are you fiending for a slice of golden, butter-soaked, garlic bread? You're in luck, because they're back in stock.

Last week we were hit with devastating news that one of Australia’s major garlic bread suppliers would be recalling their products. Luckily, Domino’s has answered our carb deprived prayers by announcing their stores are now locked and loaded with garlic-bready goodness.

George Weston Foods recalled eleven different garlic bread products from major supermarkets and pizza spots after finding there were bits of plastic in their margarine blender (not good, not good at all).

Apparently, it’s been no easy task getting garlic bread back on the shelves.

Don Meij, Domino’s boss, said the company is pulling a lot of strings to get their supplies up and running again. “We are using special courier services to 77 different regions across Australia, meaning our customers will get delicious garlic bread alongside their piping hot pizza sooner than any other outlet in Australia,” Meij said.

Seems like Domino’s is pulling ahead of other pizza chains in their race to the finish line.

Everyone’s favourite side order should be available by the end of the week at all stores across every state and territory. Phew.

The garlic bread drought made people feel (understandably) devo, but Domino’s didn’t falter. Meij says the company rallied together to develop a new recipe to replace the original. Low-and-behold, it got a whole lot cheesier.

“Our customers were offered our new, handcrafted Cheesier Garlic Bread, developed by our team members working in stores, just 24 hours later,” said Meij.

Solid effort.
