The Creators of "Westworld" Are Offering/Threatening to Spoil Season 2 for Reddit

The spoilees have become the spoilers.
Update: Scroll to the bottom of this article to see the video, which was released after this article's publication.
Over the last year and a half, Westworld creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy have expressed a bit of frustration over Reddit basically figuring out all the major twists before they happened in Season One.
So, they’ve got a foolproof plan for Season Two: they’re just gonna go ahead and spoil it for Reddit first!
In an AMA on Reddit, married producers Nolan and Joy said they were going to post a video "that lays out the plot (and twists and turns)," and leave the spoilers in the hands of the Reddit community.
"Everything," they add.
"The whole sordid thing. Up front."
Why in God’s name would they do that?
"That way the members of the community here who want the season spoiled for them can watch ahead, and then protect the rest of the community, and help to distinguish between what's 'theory' and what's spoiler," they explain.
Nolan and Joy say they are following the model of the Game of Thrones community, where book-readers "protected the secrets of the narrative" from those who were simply watching the show and posting theories.
Already, Redditors are suggesting that the video could be full of red herrings and fake twists, meant to throw them off the scent.
But if they’re for real, be careful out there, because spoilers could potentially fly thick and fast.
Westworld returns to Foxtel’s Showcase channel on Monday 23 April.
Update (11/04): Well, they dropped the video, which is basically just Evan Rachel Wood rickrolling us with a rendition of "Never Gonna Give You Up", followed by 20 minutes of a dog sitting in front of a piano. Enjoy your punking.
