That Thing Finally Happened On "The Walking Dead"

Batter up.
The Walking Dead returned for its seventh season today and answered the question (after many months, and a few minutes more, of hand-wringing): "Who did Negan batter to a pulp at the end of the sixth season?"
Welp, after many sleepless nights and much anxious watching of set photos to see which actors were still rocking up to work, the victim of Jeffrey Dean Morgan's barbed-wire bat has been revealed.
And the unlucky victim is...

Sweet, sweet, fate-tempting, dumpster-hiding Glenn. Steve Yeun's beloved daddy-to-be was also Negan's victim, just as it was prophesied in the comics.
Though the source material technically spoiled the murder, fans had reason to think Glenn would be spared this time around. (He's a fan favourite; he and Maggie had a heartwarming relationship; he's one of the few remaining characters from the first season).
But nope. TWD cares not for your Glenn-love. R.I.P. buddy.
