Thanks To Art, You Can Now See That Yoko Ono Joke From "The Simpsons" For Real

You can see an actual "single plum, floating in perfume, served in a man's hat" on display right now.
Artist and singer Yoko Ono has recently curated an art exhibition at Reykjavik Art Museum called: "Yoko Ono: One More Story..."
There's a particularly interesting piece in the show by artist Ragnar Kjartansson: A real life version of a classic The Simpsons joke about Yoko Ono herself.
You might even remember the scene! In the 1993 episode "Homer's Barbershop Quartet," a character based on Ono walks into Moe's Tavern and orders a "single plum, floating in perfume, served in a man's hat".
In a hilariously tongue-in-cheek way, Kjartansson recreated this joke for Ono's exhibition.

Where did this creation come from? Well, Ono asked a bunch of Icelandic artists to create works dedicated to herself. (As you do...)
Some think that Kjartansson submitted his work, "Single Plum" as a prank to mock Ono. Ouch...
Others reckon that Ono accepted the work because she's "in on the joke" and sees the work as a subtle jab at those who have laughed at her art, rather than with it.
As they say: Live, laugh, art.
