The Teaser For "Red Dog: True Blue" Is Here To Make You Weep

Wanna cry today? Good news! The teaser trailer for Red Dog prequel True Blue has arrived.

In it, we see the origin of the Red Dog, when 11-year-old Mick (Levi Miller) makes friends with a dirt-covered pup.

It’s only 75-seconds long; see how far you can get before memories of the original (and your tears) come flooding back.

(Fun fact: this writer met Koko, the canine actor who first played ‘Red Dog’, shortly before his own death in 2012. It was not a particularly fruitful interview, from memory.)

Red Dog: True Blue, directed by Kriv Stenders, hits cinemas on Boxing Day. No doubt the producers are hoping it cracks the $21 million grossed by the original in 2011.
