Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has Officially Come to an End

The end of an iconic Era(s)

It’s official—Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has ended, and honestly, we’re all feeling a little emotional. But also it feels like the Eras Tour has been going on for ages.

After nearly two years of performing, the final show went down on 8 December in Vancouver, Canada.

If you’ve been living under a rock (or just missed out), here’s everything you need to know about the tour.

The Era’s Tour begins

Swift announced the tour, named for the stages of her career, in November 2022, after the release of her tenth studio album Midnights.

The Eras Tour started way back on 17 March 2023, and Taylor didn’t hold back.

She gave us around 46 songs in each show, played for roughly 3.5 hours straight, and took us on a journey through her entire career—from Fearless and Red to Lover and Midnights.

She hit 149 shows across 53 cities, 19 countries, and 5 continents with over 10 million attendees.

"We have toured the entire world with this tour. We’ve had so many adventures. It's been the most exciting, powerful, electrifying, intense, most challenging thing I’ve ever done in my entire life," Swift said.

And, it’s now officially the highest-grossing tour of all time, raking in $3 billion AUD.

This was also Taylor’s first tour since her reputation tour in 2018.

@agirlnamedally the best weekend of my life 🥹💖 eras tour vlog is now on my channel, thank you @Taylor Swift for the enchanting, welcoming, beautiful safe space you have created for us 💘 being surrounded by swifties feels like real life barbie land 🫶 #theerastour #erastourmelbourne #TSTheErasTour #swifttok #taylorswift #swifties #erastour2024 #ttpd #thetorturedpoetsdepartment ♬ enchanted 1989 tour - swiftieoath

What were some of the highlights?

The tour was stacked with amazing opening acts like Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, and Paramore, just to name a few.

While on the Eras Tour, Swift broke up with Joe Alwyn, teased and announced her relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce, released an album, two re-records, a tour movie, and a tour book.

All of this happened while she was selling out stadiums, breaking records, and somehow still finding time to trade friendship bracelets with fans.

Eras Tour Down Under

Here in Australia, Taylor played seven shows. Three in Melbourne and four in Sydney.

If you were lucky enough to get tickets, you know it was pure chaos (in the best way). Fans showed up in their Eras-inspired outfits, from cowboy hats to sparkly dresses.

Taylor completely took over the MCG and Accor Stadium, and every performance was next level. Aussie Swifties definitely showed up, and we’re pretty sure Taylor felt the love.

Friendship bracelets

If there’s one thing the Eras Tour will always be remembered for—besides breaking records and making us emotional—it’s the friendship bracelets.

What started as a fun idea from Taylor’s song You’re On Your Own, Kid turned into a huge Swiftie tradition that took over stadiums, TikTok, and the world.

Now that it’s over, it feels like the end of an era (literally), but we know Taylor’s not done yet.

Until her next tour, we’ll just be here, rewatching TikToks from the tour and crying to All Too Well (10 Minute Version).
