Where did a uni degree take them?
This article is presented in partnership with The College at Western Sydney University.
So, what happens when you finish uni? You wear the cap and gown, cross the stage, graduate, and you're all good to go, right?

Not quite.
Some of the Student Edge Team have been through it all and they have sat down to reflect on what they studied and their different journeys.
By completing a Pathway Program at The College in as little as one year, you could launch straight into your second year of uni at Western! It's never too late to keep learning.
Everyone's study journey is different. The Student Edge Team have got a few fun stories about their uni pathway—so stick around.
Jasmine.

I studied Primary Teaching.
I would often book the 8am classes, which meant most of the time I’d rock up in my pyjamas!
I’ve actually gone back to uni since then…and then I went back...and now I’m considering going back again! The skills I've learnt along the way have been invaluable in my current role.
There’s always something you can be better at. You can always do the next thing.
Anica.

I studied English Literature and Creative Writing.
There are so many great memories—our State Premier visiting campus, holding electronic music raves on the university grounds, trying to jump the water features on campus, having a horse and carriage at our “Shrek” themed end of year ball…

I’m always reading and diving into subjects I never have before. And just recently, I completed a music production course.
We have one life to consume as much information as we can about this world. And it’s a whole lot of fun!
Simon.

I first studied Business Law and Accounting, but then eventually finished my degree in Marketing and Management.
Getting involved with clubs and marketing a student music event was pretty exciting for me!
I’m still chipping away at my Masters. And I’m trying to learn French.

Life-long learning keeps your brain in check, especially doing things you love.
Kaylee.

I studied Journalism and International Politics.
In my first year, I went into the wrong class (accounting). 20 minutes in, I realised I was not in the right place, and I had to walk out! My tutor said, “it didn’t look like you belonged here.”

I studied Japanese and still study it a bit on the side.
With a diploma at The College, you can build on your current skills and put uni within your reach.
