Today In ‘Why Not?’: “Star Wars” Breakout Daisy Ridley Recorded A Song With Barbra Streisand

If you were placing bets on how Daisy Ridley would follow up her breakout performance as Rey in The Force Awakens, you just lot all your credits.

Instead of working tirelessly on Star Wars: Episode VIII, Ridley took some time off recently to record new music with Barbra Streisand.

We know you have questions. We all do.

1. Huh?

Yes, this is all real. On the Oscars red carpet last Sunday, Ridley told E! News that she had recorded a song just a day earlier.

Yesterday, she revealed her mysterious singing partner by posting a picture of her and legendary songstress Babs Streisand on Instagram.

I'm gonna end this spate of pictures detailing my insane weekend with this... Ummmmmmmmmmmm...

2. But...?

As Mashable points out, Ridley is actually a beautiful singer, having performed an impromptu rendition of (the very creepy) “Baby It’s Cold Outside” with Force Awakens co-star Oscar Isaac.

3. Wah?!

Yeah, Isaac’s got some pipes too.

Oh, and so does Kylo Ren. Kinda.

Anyway, we’ll be sure to keep you updated on Ridley and Streisand’s collaboration.

Please let it be a cover of this:
