Spotify Has Unleashed Your 2018 Listening Habits and Nothing Is Sacred

Spotify knows us better than many.

Now that we've reached the backend of the year, it's time to reflect and look at the year that 2018 was.

But that also extends to Spotify, that place we listen to all our fave music, ranging from party bangers to songs we'd rather hide behind a private session (*ahem* enter: Avril Lavigne's Let Go).

To get in the spirit, Spotify has released their fun (and distressing) Wrapped feature, which helps you take a look at your listening habits for the year.

The artists that topped Spotify's streaming charts were overwhelmingly male and hip-hop. Rounding off the top spot was Drake, surprising no one, with Post Malone, XXXTENTACION, J Balvin and Ed Sheeran taking out second to fifth place.

For female artists specifically, the usual suspects appeared. Ariana Grande took out number one while Dua Lipa, Cardi B, Taylor Swift and Camila Cabello followed closely.

But everyone else had to come to terms with their own personal listening habits.

Luckily, most of the world nodded in agreeance with Spotify's summary of their musical ventures.

But, naturally, not everyone was totally sold.

Check out what songs shaped your year by heading to Spotify Wrapped now. You'll only regret it slightly.
