PSA: Spotify Has Just Launched a Student Price Because Mo’ Study Equals No Money

Spotify has announced that students who use the service will now save 50 per cent off the regular price.
It’s a Wednesday and that means it’s officially the slowest day of the week. Luckily, Spotify has made today a little more exciting for students by cutting their monthly Premium cost from $11.99 to $5.99.
Spotify will be releasing the new pricing system for students to 33 countries around the world bringing the total to 36 countries.
.@Spotify offers HK$29/m package to students. Spend that money on music rather than overpriced ramen and Starbucks. It's more nourishing.

Spotify has also released the most played artists and song among students for last year and to no one’s surprise, it was ya boy, Drake.
Based on the listening habits of 18 to 21 year-olds, Drake’s banger ‘One Dance’ scored number one while ‘Too Good’ featuring ex-bae Bad Girl RiRi (Rihanna) hit eight on the list.

Spotify also released data regarding what type of music students were listening to. The most played 'Moments' playlist was the Chill playlist, which apparently takes up 35 per cent of our listening time. The Workout playlist followed behind with 20 per cent.
We broke down some of the stats in a neat little pie chart below.
