Someone Created a Video Game Where You Spend All of Elon Musk’s Money

30 seconds, $US166 billion. Go.

If you ever wanted to experience what it’s like to be a billionaire like Elon Musk for 30 seconds, then we have found the perfect game for you. 

It’s been a busy few months for the self-professed Dogefather with his cringey appearance on Saturday Night Live being panned by fans everywhere, and his recent Tweets successfully crashing the price of Bitcoin.

But now the man can add being immortalised in a video game to that list ‘cos someone in their infinite imagination has created the free-to-play online game, Spending Elon’s Money, and I love them for that.

Developed by Leasing Options UK, the website gives some pretty simple instructions:

“Elon Musk’s business ventures have skyrocketed his net worth to a staggering $166 billion. The aim of this game is to spend that money in 30 seconds,” the loading screen reads.

Once you hit start, players are hit with 12 different options on how you can spend the Tesla CEO’s fortune starting at a McDonald’s Big Mac for $US8 and going all the way up to a Falcon 9 Launch costing a cool $US50,000,000.

After having a crack and only buying the Falcon 9 Launch, I barely even made a dent in his fortune despite the fact I bought over 80 of them.

The devs seem to know it’s an impossible task, so they’ve added a x10 and x15 feature to give you a fighting chance. Can confirm, even with these assists turned on I could only spend $US157 billion of Musk’s money, leaving him with a meagre $US8.5 billion leftover.

I hope he’ll be okay.

Despite 30 seconds never going to be enough time to spend it all, the game does a great job of showing just how much money the tech billionaire has.
