Some NSW Students Will Have to Re-Sit HSC Trials 'Cos Someone Leaked the Questions

Students at a school in Sydney will have to re-sit their HSC trials again after someone took photos of the questions and circulated them to other students.

The unnamed school will have to force some of their students to re-sit their HSC trial after a police were called to investigate a security breach.

That 'security breach' was in the form of students, from one class, finding the papers and taking pictures of them with their smartphones. They then, allegedly, circulated these pictures to others, which means that the whole class will have to re-sit the exam. Bummer.

A spokesperson from the Catholic Secondary Schools Association, who writes the exams for 480 schools in NSW, told Sydney Morning Herald (SMH) that the breach only affected one class.

"The breach impact affects only one class and three exams which have already been sat," the spokesperson told SMH.

"Students in the affected class and their parents/carers have therefore been advised that the class will need to re-sit new exam papers for each subject. While this is regrettable, it is necessary to uphold the integrity of the exam results."

This is the second 'security breach' of HSC trial papers in NSW this month. Two weeks ago, Scot's College in Sydney faced a late-night break-in resulting in the theft of two physics papers. The two offending students are likely to be expelled or face tough punishments for their very Mission: Impossible-like wrongdoing.

Thankfully, none of the other students had to re-sit their exams.

Cheating might seem like the easy way out when you've 'forgotten' to study, but for these students, it wasn't.
