Best Game of All Time, “The Simpsons: Hit & Run”, Is Getting A “Futurama” Version

This is everything we've ever wanted.
The day The Simpsons: Hit & Run was released and inserted into CD-ROMs across households everywhere, crops flourished, skin became clear, the sun shone, and order was restored to the universe.
If I had an infinity gauntlet comprised of the most powerful games of the early naughties, the Simpsonified Grand Theft Auto has its place among other gems such as Rollercoaster Tycoon and Crash Bandicoot. Some may say it is the very best.
The Simpsons franchise was super prolific when it came to arcade and video games. You couldn’t really catch a break from all the mustard-yellow merchandise if you tried.
But what about our purple-haired, one-eyed bestie Leela, or the endlessly burping Bender, 1,000 years in the future?

Futurama was a huge hit but didn’t spawn the same number of games as The Simpsons. There was just one coldly received game for PlayStation 2 that no one remembers.
Enter: Slurm Team. They’re a ‘modding’ group, meaning they alter existing games through programming—to give us experiences like this:
Futurama: Hit & Run completely replicates the game play of the O.G., just placed into the Futurama universe. The 3D models and characters have been built fully from scratch, as though it’s an intended expansion pack for the game.
Slurm Team have been working on Futurama: Hit & Run for the past three or so years.
We don’t have an official release date, but according to the YouTube video’s description, the Team plan to release the demo around late August to early September.
Get me in that pink sedan.
