See Sia Sing On Home And Away... In 1997

For some reason, footage of Sia’s eighteen-year-old cameo on Home & Away is circulating the web today.

In the clip, future-diva Sia Furler performs “How to Breathe” at the 1997 beach-side wedding of Travis (Nic Testoni) and Rebecca (Belinda Emmett). It is also worth noting that Flathead apparently officiated the ceremony. This truly was the golden age of Australian television.

1997 alt-Sia is a far cry from 2015 Sia. For one thing, she’s pretty comfortable showing her face on Home & Away (though, in fairness, her reasons for wanting to avoid the trappings of celebrity as her star continues to rise is totally admirable).

She’s also got an epic double-bun instead of her now-iconic blonde bob.

There is one thing that’s totally unmistakable about this old school Sia though: that voice.
