Interview: Samantha Jade, Home And Away

"It's really fun to play a bad girl because she is the actual exact opposite of anything I am."

X-Factor winner Samantha Jade stopped by the Student Edge office last week to chat about her most recent album, Nine (the first to feature all original material), as well as her debut on Home & Away as Isla, Summer Bay's new "bad girl". (Hey, "bad girls" are an integral part of the Bay's ecosystem!)

We asked her what it's like to take on the acting challenge, after having played Kylie Minogue in the INXS miniseries Never Tear Us Apart.

She also shared with us the pressure of having to "re-prove" herself after X-Factor and how her family kept her humble (specifically, by making her clear the dishwasher).

Check it out!

Home & Away airs on Channel 7.
