ScoMo is Proposing Children Drive Forklifts to Help Supply Chain Crisis

Yes, you read that correctly.

In the latest pandemic plot twist, Scott Morrison is reportedly going to make a bold proposition at today’s national cabinet meeting.

He’ll be asking Vic, NSW and Qld to allow children to drive forklifts, lowering their current age restriction down from 18+.

Why the change of heart? You might have noticed a lack of your fave meats and veggies on supermarket shelves lately.

This is due to a supply chain squeeze across the nation. COVID is causing staff shortages, meaning there aren’t enough workers to ensure we get the goods we want on a daily basis.

ScoMo wants to address this with a bundle of measures, some of which are required at a state level. He said yesterday, “there are changes that we need to make around the age of forklift drivers, to get quite specific”.

Everyone is kinda freaking out about this.

Other suggested measures include getting rid of the requirement that workers get daily rapid antigen tests, except those in high-risk industries. ScoMo will also propose that Australia recognises New Zealand truck licenses.

As more and more spanners are thrown in the works of this pandemic, I’m starting to question if this is all a glitch in the matrix.
