San Cisco’s Bass Player Accidentally Shot Himself In The Foot

Not exactly lifting the reputation of bass players, San Cisco’s Nick Gardner has been hospitalised after accidentally shooting himself in the foot this week.

The incident took place on a mate’s farm in Collie, Western Australia.

According to a press release from the band, Gardner is recovering and remains in good spirits.

In Gardner’s own words, “As we were driving through an exceptionally rough paddock, I reached down to stop the gun from bouncing around and before I knew it, it had gone off.”

“Somewhat of a freak accident. I realised I had been shot and ripped off my boot and sock to reveal a hole in my foot and blood everywhere.”

With San Cisco’s latest album Gracetown arriving on Friday, the Fremantle band is about to embark on a massive world tour.

Unfortunately, Gardner will have to sit out the upcoming dates in USA and Mexico.

It’s not all bad, though. He adds, “I know the band will do me proud and there will still be the same show, just without my embarrassing dancing!"
