Sacha Baron Cohen’s New Show "Who Is America?" Debuts on Stan This Week

Is nice?

Just as the final cries of "My Wife" echo from the lips of the last bro still quoting Borat, Sacha Baron Cohen announces his return to TV screens.

Last week, a vague teaser for his new show suggested there would be a link to U.S. President Donald Trump and Trump University. (Famously, a pre-President Trump boasted of walking out of an interview with Baron Cohen’s Ali G character.)

Today comes confirmation that Baron Cohen is indeed back to his undercover pranking ways, following a few unpopular forays into scripted comedy. (Hey, what about Grimsby? We liked it!)

Though the producers at Showtime aren’t giving too much away about the project, we now know it’s titled Who Is America? and it will debut in Australia on Stan this Sunday 15 July at 3pm AEST.

"In the works over the past year, the seven-episode series will explore the diverse individuals, from the infamous to the unknown across the political and cultural spectrum, who populate the unique nation," goes the press release.

A 30-second teaser suggests the British comedian is playing a variety of characters this time around, and even managed to convince former Vice President Dick Cheney to sign a "waterboard kit".

But has he been able to fool President Trump with this latest go around?

We’ll see for ourselves this Sunday.
