The Teaser For "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" Is Here And Why Aren't You Watching It Already?

It's not Episode VIII, but it'll do. Oh yeah, it'll do.

Disney has unveiled the first teaser trailer for their upcoming Star Wars spin-off, Rogue One, and it looks a lot darker and seems slightly more sinister than The Force Awakens... though, that might just have to do with the presence of Australia's best baddie, Ben "Mendo" Mendelsohn.

Set between Episode III and Episode IV, Rogue One stars Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso, a rebel recruited to steal plans for something called a 'Death Star'. (Wonder if Darth and his pals ever get around to making that thing?)

As we learn in the teaser, which is mostly an introduction to Jyn's butt-kicking prowess, she is quite the 'rogue one' herself. Geddit?

Rogue One comes from Godzilla director Gareth Edwards and also stars Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelson and, oh yeah, did we mention Mendo?

It's not out until December, but these two minutes should be able to tide you over until then. Love that score.
