You’ll Be Able to Race Around Sydney in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Your Switch

"Wahoo!"🍄

If you’ve trodden the tracks of Rainbow Road or Yoshi Valley one too many times, you’ll be hype for this new course coming to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for Nintendo Switch.

A Sydney Sprint track will place your beloved Mario Kart racers in the heart of the Aussie cityscape, speeding you through the Opera House, over the Harbour, past Luna Park, onto the Harbour Bridge and across the Cahill Expressway.

The Sydney Sprint track was introduced to the Mario Kart Tour game for mobile in 2021 and quickly became popular amongst players. So, it only made sense that it was brought to the Switch.

The track is part of the six ‘waves’ being released in the Booster Course Passes for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Each wave includes eight courses that can be played locally and online, and all will be out by the end of 2023.

The other courses in the second Booster Pass wave include “Tour New York Minute”, “Waluigi Pinball”, “Snow Land”, and “Sky High Sundae”, to name a few.

In Mario Kart Tour, Australian-themed skins were introduced. Baby Mario adorned Koala ears and Yoshi wore a kangaroo hat with boxing gloves. It’s yet to be seen whether these additions will be made to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe wave.

You can get your wheels spinnin’ on the Aussie tracks on 4 August.
