This bad boy is ideal for those seeking a lower-cost portable computer (it weighs 544 grams!) that still packs a huge performance punch. With a bigger 10.5" touchscreen, better resolution and a longer battery life (up to 10 hours) than predecessors, the Surface Go 2 can hold its own against both laptops and tablets (and is perfect for anyone who primarily uses their PC for everyday tasks).

The launch price for the Surface Go 2 starts at $AUD629, but if you use the 10% off discount through the special Microsoft Store (open to Student Edge members), the starting price drops to $566. 

Blimey. Considering the Guardian said "the gutsy little Surface Go 2 is simply great," that’s a hell of a product for a hell of a price.

For those needing a little extra oomph (like for video editing or gaming), Microsoft has just dropped the Surface Book 3, which normally starts at $AUD2,649 but drops to $2,381 if you get it via the Microsoft Student Store.

Microsoft is calling this "the most powerful Surface laptop yet" thanks to its 10th Gen Intel processors (i5 or i7) that make it 50% faster than the Surface Book 2. That said, the screen can still detach from the keyboard so you can carry it like a tablet, if you’re still after something that’s more portable.
