PSA: Vodafone Is Working to Restore Its Nationwide 4G Outage

Telco says they’re working "as quickly as possible" to fix the issue.

Vodafone customers have been left frustrated today as the telecommunications company is reporting problems with its 4G network across Australia.

At 11am today, customers began raising concerns with Vodafone, expressing that they were unable to connect to the network.

The problems being reported include slow to no internet connection, difficulty making phone calls and issues sending and receiving text messages.

According to the tech tracking website Downdetector, more than 10,000 people in Australia have reported there being an issue with their Vodafone service.

Vodafone have now responded to the outage, assuring customers that they are working hard to fix the problem.

“We are aware of an issue impacting 4G services nationwide. Data services may be falling back to 3G intermittently, causing congestion and slower speeds,” said Vodafone Australia’s official Twitter account.

“We are working to resolve this issue ASAP. Over the course of the afternoon, customers will see their services return to normal. We thank customers for their continued patience.”

Reports are coming through that the outage is impacting some customers' income, with Uber drivers saying that the issues are stopping them from picking up passengers.
